Volunteer ESOL Teacher
The Welcome Project seeks volunteer teachers to teach or assist with an ESOL class. Our 10-hour teacher training program combined with ongoing support prepares both novice and experienced teachers for success within our program. After the initial training, volunteers teach or tutor English language learners 2 or 4 hours a week plus preparation time and monthly meetings.
We are currently accepting applications for volunteers to teach morning or evening classes.

Volunteer English Program Assistant
The program assistant position is 5 – 10 hours per week. The assistant has the opportunity to observe classes if desired, and gets to be part of a dynamic organization working towards multilingual justice. Responsibilities include calling students from all TWP classes who have missed two classes in a row, entering data and payment info, maintaining student files on paper, placement intake, and assessment information, issuing invoices for paying substitutes, and meeting regularly with program staff.

Volunteer Board Member
The Welcome Project is currently seeking candidates who are interested in joining our board and sharing their experiences and networks in order to advance the organization's vision, mission and programs. Ideal candidates will be passionate and knowledgeable about immigrant communities, social justice, community empowerment and/or grassroots activism. Additionally, we are particularly interested in applicants with financial and/or fundraising skills.
